I WONDER AS I WANDER
[Or, As Barbra Streisand Would Say,
'I Vonder As I Vander'!]
A Bit More Fun in the Form of a Song
(Written in 1998)
The few true human beings on this Earth
Have tried to figure things out
All of their lives
And then their wandering
Was born to search for and discover the Truth
The wondering and trying to figure things out
Came before the wandering
The egg came before the chicken
And then it hatched
Into wandering to wonder some more
There's so much to wonder about out there
But so few who even understand
The need to do so
And the compulsion to wander
To be reborn by discovering what's true
The wondering and trying to figure things out
Came before the wandering
The egg came before the chicken
And then it hatched
Into wandering to wonder some more
There's a deep compulsion to comprehend
Why things are the way they are
In those few souls
And to quest and explore
For truth as for gems that appear to be hidden
The wondering and trying to figure things out
Came before the wandering
The egg came before the chicken
And then it hatched
Into wandering to wonder some more
The world is full of wonder,
Not necessarily all wonderful things
But as a result of the former,
And the birth of genius,
There have to be wandering souls
(-Repeat the chorus if you so desire-)
