TWO KINDS OF WRITERS
Some Thoughts
(Written in 1999)




There are basically two kinds of writers

Blind leaders of the blind

Who deceive others'

Into believing in the false

More than the true

And those who guide others'

To what's important

While exposing the untrue

Including all that's unreal or misleading

In favor only of what's wise and genuine



Writers of truth and writers of falsehood

The difference between a dichotomy

As broad as all of the seas put together

Leading others' to be aware of and fulfill

Their duty to stand up for what's right

Versus guiding others' down the wrong path

Of having minds so open that their brains fall out

Along with wisdom, self-sacrifice and hope

Until there's nothing left but self-centeredness

In favor of foolishness and phoniness
