A Poem of Thanks to Barbra Streisand
For All of Her Love and Care
(Written in 1999)




Thank you for inspiration

Thank you for "Higher Ground"

Thank you that you loved and cared

Thank you for teaching us to reach higher

Thank you for reminding us to seek after God



The beauty of your voice, so much a blessing from Him

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit over all of this great universe

The One who gave you the gifts of your abundant spiritual desires

The Only True God, and Jesus the Christ, are the Ones to be praised

Thank you, Dearest Lord, for Barbra's beautiful songs to us to inspire



So now we come to the Heart, that led her to love and care so much

She submits to being a channel for Your Loving Peace to flow to us

She manifests the results of this Love, bringing us closer to You

She permits herself to be used to put within us such a fervor

She is so devoted, that many of us long to be made new



So, praise You, Dear Lord, for Your Holy Spirit

So, thank You for putting it in loving hearts

So grateful are we for all of Your arts

So thankful for the Barbras', too

So in awe of all Your parts



The parts You give all of us to play

In the grand theater of the universe

For all eyes to behold and ponder how

The controversy between good and evil

Will very soon come to an end eternally

[ Note by me: Obviously, from reading much of my site if you have, I disagree with Barbra on the issue of abortion {the ONLY thing I agree with G.W. Bush on(!)} and a couple of other things; but, by and large, she does tell it like it is and/or as it should be on most things; so, therefore, I share her site with you. Let me make very clear, too, that I am NOT a Democrat(!) like she is, either; and that I believe it is fundamentally wrong to be a Democrat because, as a party, they are virtually just as corrupt as Republicans! I believe one should not be a member of ANY political party because politics as a whole is corrupt by its very existance and nature, and that NO ONE should be directly or indirectly connected with or to ANY corruption(s)! ]
