I sit or stand a good distance away

From you and your lives and pain

The ends that you go to for your survival

And whatever from life you hope to gain

But we are not so far apart at heart

That I can't relate to your binds

Your trials and sorrows we all experience

In order to find peace for our minds

I stand or sit closer than you think

And not so far from your sphere of reality

Partaking of my own parallel search

For love, joy and happiness in equality

While all around us lies oppressiveness

I love you with all the love I can muster

Seeking to overcome the walls between us

Towards the goal of touching all the luster
